Chevy/Cadillac dealerships starting to get level 3 chargers

I noticed Sullivan Parkhill in Champaign IL just got a new level 3 charger installed. There is a fee to use it, but it’s better than nothing. Perusing Plugshar it looks like many dealerships along highways are getting them. I’m surprised my local GMC dealership doesn’t have one since the Hummer is already released the Silverado EV will take awhile.

My local Chevy dealer has one. Just remember that regular DC fast charging is not good for the battery.

I plan to use my level2 charger in my garage on a daily basis then use level 3 when on long trips where we need fast charging. Also, since I no longer have a daily commute and retired early from a career in tech, the vehicle will sit most of the time doing nothing… though not burning Dino juice might be justification to go out more, yet Covid and Monkey Pox scares still have us sheltering at home, only doing curbside, and eating drive thru.

Any idea how fast the GM L3 chargers can charge at ?

While I wait for my Silverado EV WT, my Ford Lightning can benefit from occasional DCFC via L3.

It’s not very fast at 24kw when several electrify America L3s at Walmart are 150kw+

I have seen 24-50 kw at dealers.

I’m hoping that Plugshare is wrong and the initial entry by some user was limited to what their car could accept. The data is crowdsourced from users

I should stop by the GM dealer to find out my reservation status in my new Ford Lightning to plug in and see what the charge rate is on my Ford Pass app....

Hope they don't kick me out driving in with a Ford EV truck...

I didn't have problems with my Rivian. Guess it depends on the dealer though. I needed to top up on a trip to see family, and the EA station I normally use was closed.

I showed my local Chevy dealer my Lightning the day after I got it and have been encouraged to charge there. I am a long time customer with a reservation for a Silverado EV and a Blazer EV.

why not complete the set and add a Hummer, Equinox, and Lyriq?
