I've been inquiring about snowplow usage on EV trucks and can't find ANY information online whatsoever.

I can understand that manufacturers probably don't want to rush into that arena with their brand new, unproven EV truck's but it matters considerably for my potential purchase. If the Silvy WT is deemed a work truck by name, it SHOULD be able to plow snow, especially with all that immediate torque. Does anyone have any intel if they will be permitted for use, if they will be available for fitment or if snowplowing could somehow effect warranty?

The first question I would have is how can it mount to the vehicle. Ford is using a fairly standard f150 frame so the front bumper is most likely mounted the same way as the current truck. Things may or may not be able to attach to the frame in the same way, but I would lean towards it being the same.
However, the Chevy is an entirely new vehicle and isn't sharing a frame or any other body parts with the current Silverado.
With both vehicles, the fact that the grill is opening with the frunk, anything mounted on the front of the vehicle may block it from opening.

It looks like there are plows on the market that are made for midsize, unibody SUVs like the blazer and explorer so I would think that these would eventually get adapted to the ev Silverado if there are not truck like frame mounting points. How much time it will take is unknown. And as far as warranty, I would imagine that it is going to affect things in the same way that it would affect any other truck.

I don't know your specific needs but a plow that mounts to the receiver hitch may be a better option if you need to have a plow early on in vehicle ownership. Although the downside would be having to go in reverse.

That's a common use case for Northerners that will have to be addressed by gm eventually. The question is whether the Ultium platform will be rugged enough to support this activity without damaging the skateboard frame and/or the batteries.

Yup, if I'm gonna drop the big coin I want to know what my options are. Unless they're betting on global warming to abolish snow before they have an answer:)
